(as in higher clamping force) would result in less heat. My JWT, which has a higher clamping force than any of my previous clutches, has a tendency to snap into engagement a bit. I'm presuming the RPS MAX/Street, which has 300lbs more clamping force than the JWT, is going to do so even more. The result is with my driving style remaining more or less unchanged I'm engaging quicker with a stiffer PP. I'd guess that the quicker engagement, despite the higher force being applied, nets less dynamic friction than the same disc with a lighter pressure plate that is slipped more. Of course I lack the information needed to prove this, it's just my gut feeling.
